M9 Resurfacing Work – 24 March 2022
21.NSE.0102.065 – 001 – Location Plan
21.NSE.0102.065 – 004 – Diversion Route Rev 1.1
BEAR Consultation Letter – M9 Junction 10 SB
BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, is planning to carry out essential resurfacing works on a section of the M9 southbound at Junction 10 between the off-slip and on-slip. Please find the enclosed location plan for clarity.
The works have been provisionally programmed to commence on Thursday 24th March 2022 for a duration of 1 night between the hours of 19:30 and 06:00.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public it is necessary to close the M9 Southbound between Junction 11 (Keir Roundabout) and Junction 9 during the works.
During this period of closure, a signed diversion route will be in place travelling southbound via Kier Roundabout (Junction 11), A9, A907, A91 and the A9 before re-joining M9 southbound at Junction 9. A location plan showing this diversion route is attached. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times and all traffic management will be removed out with working hours.
If you require any further information or would like to comment on any of the proposed works please do not hesitate to contact Barrie Harrison by email at [email protected].

Light up Muckhart!
The lights were switched-on on December 5th by Mrs Sutherland. For once they came on without multiple attempts! Members of the community were encouraged to come out and enjoy the switch on with mulled wine, community carols and sweet Christmas treats. The response was fantastic with the car park full of local residents of all ages enjoying the event. The LUM team received multiple comments during December from residents as to how good the lights looked, on the tree and the hall. Parents of children walking or cycling to school really enjoyed the magical feel around the hall. Walking groups, local clubs and societies that were using the hall also appreciated them and recognised the significant upgrade from our previous years “home-spun” lights.
Given that many indoor Christmas activities involving large numbers had been restrained due to Covid restrictions it was lovely to have a community gathering in the car park with some winter sparkle in our village in December.
The switch on event and afternoon click and collect raised £1,200 which we split between Homestart Clackmannanshire and the Gate Foodbank in Alloa.
