A Drop-In session for residents will take place on Wednesday 29th January at the Coronation Hall between 3:00 – 7:00pm.

Following this the Council’s Principal Planner will be attending the MCC Meeting at 7:30pm to introduce and discuss the latest MIR.

Muckhart Consultation

MCC will be providing an informal update for members of the community regarding the recent decision taken by the Council’s Principal Planner to recommend that the Council’s Planning Committee APPROVE Springfield’s Planning Application for 50 Houses, in Pool of Muckhart. This informal update will take place on SUNDAY 19th JANUARY in the CORONATION HALL at 7:00PM

In particular, MCC would encourage those members of our community who have submitted objections or comments to the Council, regarding this Application, and who should have received a letter from the Council asking if you would like to make an oral representation at next week’s Committee Meeting, to attend Sunday’s update.

Please Note: the small hall will be available for children to read, draw, etc., should you like to attend Sunday’s meeting but may struggle with child care arrangements, at such short notice.

Experts from Home Energy Scotland, the Home Efficiency Programme Scotland (HEEPS), Clackmannanshire Council, Scottish Water and the Wise Group will be on hand to outline ways in which your household can save energy, water and money.

There will be discussions about ways in which energy efficiency can be improved in your home. Home Energy Scotland are working in partnership with Scottish Water to deliver a number of exciting environmental and energy saving projects across Scotland.

The latest initiative is to distribute a range of FREE water saving gadgets to householders in Clackmannanshire to help them use water more wisely and to reduce the cost of hot water use in their homes.

We are also hoping to have some electric bikes for those who are interested.

There will be formal presentations and the opportunity for individual consultations and the evening will end with cheese and wine.

Further to the recent Muckhart Community Plan (MCP) Annual Review meeting, John Anderson, MCC Chair, has prepared and released the latest MCP Annual Progress Report (September 2019) which was discussed and approved, unanimously, at the MCC AGM that took place on 4th September 2019.

A Planning Application – 19/00148/FULL – has been submitted to the Council’s Planning Department by Springfield Properties Plc for site H49 (the fields behind the bowling green).

MCC has arranged a Special Meeting to allow members to consider and prepare a formal response to the Planning Application.

The MCC Special Meeting will take place at the Coronation Hall on Wednesday 24^th July at 7:30pm
