Natural flood management – update

I am very pleased to announce that the final approvals have been granted and that the Muckhart Flood Management works are scheduled to begin in March 2023. Our thanks go to the community, landowners, Clackmannanshire Council and the Forth Rivers Trust in developing a scheme that adopts natural flood measures whilst also promoting and encouraging biodiversity with new natural habitats. These works are all contained within the Glebe Field and the watercourse that runs through the Seamab catchment. We plan to have a community presentation to detail more on the scheme but look encourage community involvement such as learning the art of willow weaving, but also utilising local trades and professionals.

Message from MCC Secretary

Hi

Many thanks to Gillian for her duties as secretary of Muckhart Community Council over the last year. As I’m sure you already know, Gillian is now chair and I have taken on the role of Secretary.

It is my intention to send out a weekly list of notices and other information to residents who have signed up to MCC. I will be moving this to Mailchimp over the next couple of weeks, this will give you more control to opt in/out of receiving communication from MCC. Anything urgent will be posted on our facebook page and/or website.

So, new notices/information this week-

1. 5-6-2173 The Clackmannanshire Council, A823 Muckhart (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Parking and Loading) Order 2022

2. 5-6-2162 The Clackmannanshire Council, A91 Pool O Muckhart (Temporary Parking Suspension) Order 2022

3. Springfield Homes Pool of Muckhart Development Virtual Walkthrough Pool of Muckhart (virtual-walkthrough.co.uk)

4. Street Lighting Faults – register on Report it – Clacks.gov

All street lighting faults should be registered on the new, redesigned clacks web fault reporting tool.

This will automatically send the faults to the street lighting team – this speeds up the response time and cuts out double handling of information”
